Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s Wrexham set to ‘gate-crash’ New Orleans Super Bowl

New Orleans will be the focal point of the sporting world on Sunday evening when millions tune in from the US (and around the world) to watch the LIX Super Bowl. Kansas City Chiefs are looking to secure a third consecutive title with the Philadelphia Eagles looking to avenge defeat in the 2023 final.

Many bemused US sports fans will be wondering why a lower league soccer team from the UK take centre stage with Hollywood actor Channing Tatum in promoting a cold brew coffee product.

However, Wrexham AFC are no ordinary lower league soccer outfit as in 2021, the Welsh side were taken over by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and have seen their investment pay off with the club enjoying success both on and off the field boosted by the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ (FX/Disney +) series.

One of their main sponsors, Stōk Cold Brew feature the Wrexham team alongside actor Channing Tatum in their ‘Hollywood Magic’ 60 second commercial for the coffee brand which will make it’s on-air debut on Sunday.
