Shedeur Sanders feeling confident after win against the Raiders: “After just one week of practice”
The Cleveland Browns rookie QB capped his first start in style - leading the team to to a 24-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Huge week for Shedeur Sanders, who made his first NFL regular season appearance against the Ravens last week and was handed his first start against the Raiders yesterday.
The Browns were coming off a run of three defeats and head coach Kevin Stefanski was taking a chance by starting the 23-year-old as his starting QB in Week 12. But with Dillon Gabriel awaiting clearance from concussion protocol, he didn’t have much choice.

Historic first start for Shedeur Sanders
The rookie threw for 209 yards and one touchdown, helping Cleveland secure only its second win in eight games. Not only that, Sanders became the first Browns rookie quarterback to win a game in his first career start since Eric Zeier managed the feat against the Bengals in October 1995.
Sanders, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, had impressed in preseason debut, throwing two touchdown passes to Kaden Davis in the 30-10 win over the Panthers. But he missed the next game against the Eagles with an oblique strain and struggled in the Week 3 game against the Rams.

Sanders’ joy
So celebrating his first start with the team’s first win in four games was a massive confidence boost. “Winning is crazy,” an elated Sanders told CBS Sports after Sunday’s win in Las Vegas. “After one week of practice, y’know what I mean? Just one week of practice! So imagine y’know what a full offseason look like, it get dangerous! But it’s just one week of practice so I’m just truly thankful y’know that everything happened”.
The Browns are back at home for their next game, hosting the 49ers on Sunday. Dillon Gabriel was limited in Friday’s practice but is expected to be cleared this week, and will return as the starter - knowing there is a new kid on the block who is competing for his place.
