Steelers see new side of Aaron Rodgers ahead of 2025 season
The pressure is on for quarterback Aaron Rodgers to get the Pittsburgh Steelers out of their postseason slump in what could be his last NFL season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have done well the past few seasons, but not well enough. The fans want a Super Bowl, and in 2025, Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback tasked with taking them there - and it may be his last shot at lifting the Lombardi before retiring too.
Aaron Rodgers’ mindset shift could define Steelers’ season
The Steelers are banking on the now 41-year-old to push them beyond back-to-back 10-7 playoff exits. Expectations are sky-high, and according to The Athletic’s Jeff Howe, Rodgers has “added a level of accountability” during training camp. Howe says he is taking a more hands-on approach with teammates, teaching after each play, and setting the tone in practice.

“Rodgers has been intentional about teaching as much as possible after each play. Don’t be shocked if it’s bumpy out of the gate,” wrote Howe. “However, it’s fair to be cautiously optimistic that Rodgers, wideout DK Metcalf and company will eventually find their rhythm.”
That’s notable given Rodgers’ mixed reputation as a leader throughout his career. Entering his 21st NFL season, the future Hall of Famer may be embracing one final run with a new mindset in Pittsburgh.
