Super Bowl LXI logo revealed as the countdown to Valentine’s Day football begins
It’s hard to accept the NFL season has come to an end, but the league is already getting us pumped up for next year with the Super Bowl LXI logo reveal.

The confetti had barely settled on the field in Santa Clara when the NFL officially turned the page to next season.
As the Seattle Seahawks celebrated their 29–13 win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, the league unveiled the logo for Super Bowl LXI, instantly kicking off speculation, excitement, and a familiar round of internet conspiracy theories.

The newly revealed emblem, shown against a purple backdrop for the first time, features a striking mix of orange tiger-stripe accents and light blue tones, layered over Los Angeles imagery. Almost immediately, fans took to social media to decode the colors, with some insisting the design hints at teams like the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, or even a Seattle Seahawks return trip.

History, of course, suggests those theories are more superstition than actual sign. Similar guesses based on past logos rarely pan out, and this year’s Seahawks–Patriots matchup surprised just about everyone.
Still, the reveal serves its real purpose, officially starting the clock toward the next Super Bowl, one that will make history in more ways than one.
What to know about Super Bowl LXI
- Date: February 14, 2027
- Location: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California
- Broadcast: ABC / ESPN / ESPN2
For the first time ever, the Super Bowl will be played on Valentine’s Day, making Super Bowl LXI the latest season-ending game in NFL history. It will also fall on Presidents’ Day weekend, a scheduling quirk made possible by the league’s 17-game regular season and a late Labor Day start.
SoFi Stadium will host the Super Bowl for the second time, after the Los Angeles Rams won the championship there in 2022. Overall, it will be the ninth Super Bowl played in the Los Angeles area, trailing only New Orleans and Miami among host cities.
The game also marks a broadcasting milestone. It will be ESPN’s first-ever Super Bowl, and ABC’s first since 2006. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are expected to be on the call, marking their seventh Super Bowl together.
There’s a long road to go until then, of course. The 2026 season will again feature a record number of international games and a packed calendar leading up to football’s biggest night. Early odds already have the defending champion Seahawks among the favorites, but as history shows, predicting the Super Bowl matchup in February is anything but straightforward.
For now, the logo is sparking conversation, debate, and anticipation, while reminding fans that the road to Super Bowl LXI officially begins now. And yes, if you’re planning Valentine’s Day 2027, you’ve been warned.
