Swifties relive 2020 flashback after Travis Kelce’s risky game night fit

On Thursday, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Florida. But it wasn’t just the game that had fans talking as Kelce narrowly missed a repeat wardrobe malfunction.

The couple was shown on the big screen and on TV several times, cuddled up, reacting to the game, and chatting away. But some of the zoomed shots had fans concerned for Kelce.

Swift looked stunning in a chic sweatsuit while Kelce wore a Kansas City Chiefs-red sweater and matching shorts, which some fans thought may have been a tad too short.

As the cameras showed Kelce “manspreading”, some fans started to worry about a potential wardrobe malfunction - and it wouldn’t be the first time for Kelce.

“Travis please close your legs I feel anxious,” one fan wrote. Another said, “I DIDNT WANNA BE THE ONE TO SAY IT but holy hell the manspreading. I’m stressing for him.”

Fans were worried they’d get a repeat of what happened in 2020. Before Kelce and Swift started dating, he was being interviewed by his friend and comedian Andrew Santino on a podcast. Santino explained that they shot the interview at his home and sent it to his editor.

The editor had to break the news that Kelce’s shorts didn’t quite cover his bits.

“My editor calls me, and he’s like, ‘Bro, I don’t know how to tell you this, but Travis was falling out of his shorts...his boys were sliding out.’”

Rather than re-shoot the whole segment, Santino decided he was fine with just laying over a Chiefs logo at the moments when Kelce’s “boys” slipped out. Though nothing was officially exposed this time, the moment reignited playful fan commentary about his fashion choices.

As Kelce gears up for a new NFL season, he and Swift are spending the summer in Florida. She is prepared to be his full-time cheerleader for the first time without tour commitments. As the NFL season nears, their public outings continue to fuel fascination...and the occasional fashion drama.
