The countdown has begun to Sunday, February 12 when we find out the next winner of the Vince Lombardi Trophy during Super Bowl LVIII.
The Super Bowl this year takes place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and will be played between the Philadelphia Eagles who beat the San Francisco 49ers easily and the Kansas City Chiefs, who beat the Bengals with a late field goal.
Who makes the Super Bowl trophy?
The trophy is manufactured by Tiffany & Company and is named after the legendary Green Bay Packers head coach, Vincent Thomas Lombardi, who won the first two championships in the history.

The Vince Lombardi Trophy has a height of 22 inches (55.88 centimeters) and weighs 7 pounds (3.2 kilograms); and is made of silver .
It takes approximately four months to make and has an estimated value of $50,000; a new one is made every year, because unlike other sports where the trophy is returned, in the NFL each winning team keeps their trophy.
Players receive a small replica, worth approximately $1,500; plus a championship ring that can top $50,000 on the resale market, depending on a variety of factors.
Jewelry maker, Jostens, has made most of the Super Bowl rings, taking approximately four months to design, create and distribute the rings; but there are also other designers who have participated in the development such as Tiffany & Co. and Balfour.
