The NFL is ramping up for the official season schedule announcement on Wednesday and to get fans excited they have given them must-see TV for the first game scheduled for Thursday, Sep. 4 in Philadelphia. The Dallas Cowboys will visit conference rivals Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
The Eagles are already considered favorites for the matchup for two reasons: They are the Super Bowl champions and historically the Super Bowl-winning team wins the first matchup of the season. That has been the case in the 15 of the last 20 games played according to Adam Schefter

It’s a huge rivalry and the Cowboys will be looking to make a statement to start of 2025 after a another disappointing season last year. With George Pickens joining CeeDee Lamb in the WR corp, Dak Prescott will have more weapons to work with as the Cowboys’ head coach Brian Schottenheimer tries to improve the defense and put the team in a spot to compete in 2025.

All eyes will be on the TV watching the opening game of the season on NBC or streaming the action on Peacock on Thursday, Sep. 4 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
