The incredible record Xavier Worthy has broken in his rookie season with the Chiefs
The 21-year-old broke the 40-yard dash record at the 2024 NFL Combine and has hit the ground running in the NFL.

With his first touch of the ball in an NFL game, Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy made a huge statement.
The 21-year-old rookie made his first reception on September 5, 2024, running home a 21-yard touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens. He registered another touchdown, this time of 35 yards, against the Ravens to kick-start a stellar debut season.
Worthy was selected with the 28th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft and has looked like an inspired pick-up by the Chiefs' front office. He has featured in 16 games for the Chiefs and registered 638 receiving yards, behind only Travis Kelce in the roster.
In the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills Worthy made his tenth touchdown from scrimmage, breaking the Chiefs record for a rookie season.

In the AFC Championship game against the Bills Worthy played 54 of the Chiefs' 66 offensive snaps, more than any other Chiefs receiver. He has risen to a position of real trust in his first season in the league and is one game away from crowning the season with a famous Super Bowl triumph.
That victory came against the Bills, the team that passed on the opportunity to draft him. The Bills opted to trade their No. 28 pick with the Chiefs' No. 32 spot, allowing Kansas City to snap up Worthy. Buffalo then used their pick on rookie WR Keon Coleman. Ahead of the Bills game, Worthy admitted that he took the decision personally.
“I feel it’s a sign that they didn’t want me,” Worthy said. “I’m going to play with a chip on my shoulder. This game means a little bit more. This is a team that traded their pick away to get somebody else.”
