The Athletic reported that Dallas Cowboys are “the most in-demand NFL team on StubHub and have sold 40 percent more tickets entering the season than the next most-popular team, the Buffalo Bills."
Speaking to the aforementioned outlet, StubHub spokesperson Adam Budelli said that modern day media has caused this surge in popularity for the Texas side: “What we’re seeing with the Dallas Cowboys perfectly illustrates how modern sports fandom extends far beyond the field. ‘The Netflix Effect’ is evident in how entertainment content amplifies sports brands, and recent Cowboys content, from the new Jerry Jones documentary to the Cowboys cheerleaders docu-series, is creating new entry points for fans who might not traditionally follow football.”
