These are the NFL teams that voted to keep the Tush Push

At the NFL owners’ meeting on Wednesday, the 32 teams finally came to a decision on the controversial Tush Push play: it’s here to stay.

Tush Push: The NFL teams on the Eagles’ side

The vote came down to 22 teams in favor of banning the play and 10 teams in favor of keeping it. The ban was proposed by the Green Bay Packers, so we can safely assume they were one of the 22 against it while the Eagles were at the top of the list of 10 wanting to keep it.

It’s shocking that so many teams were against the Tush Push though, as it’s proven not to be a safety concern - one of the arguments against the play. Though most teams have not found a way to use the play successfully, the Eagles mastered it to the tune of a 92% success rate.

Which NFL teams voted to keep the Tush Push?

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, these were the 10 teams who voted to keep the Tush Push:

• New York Jets
• Detroit Lions
• Cleveland Browns
• Jacksonville Jaguars
• Miami Dolphins
• New Orleans Saints
• Tennessee Titans

Which NFL teams voted to ban the Tush Push?

Interestingly, Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott had previously said he saw a ban as a “proactive” measure, but he ran the play 74 times in the 2024 season, among the most frequent in the league. They were successful 80.6% of the time. Together with the Bills, these were the 22 who voted to ban the Tush Push:
