This is the Miami Dolphins star who wants to run the 100 meters at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics

While the NFL just allowed its players to participate in Flag Football at the 2028 Olympics, this Dolphins player is more interested in another sport.

Update:

Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is known for his elite speed, despite being 31 years old. He’s one of the top wide receivers in the NFL. And although the league has recently allowed its players to participate in the Flag Football event at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, Hill would rather be a part of the 100-meter dash.

Although he’s an NFL Super Bowl champion, Hill is also well-versed in track and field. He won gold with Team USA in the 4x200 meter relay at the 2012 World Junior Championship in Barcelona, as well as a bronze in the individual 200-meter race.

Now, he’s challenged Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles to a race, which he’s currently preparing for.

“I’ve got a 100-meter race lined up for June 13, and then I’ll go up against Lyles,” said Hill. “I’m focused on speed and endurance this offseason.”

His next goal outside of football will be to participate in the 100-meter dash at the 2028 Olympics.

“I’m betting on it. I’m trying to make it to the Olympics - not for flag football, but to run the 100 meters in 10 seconds. That’s what I want to do,” Hill said. He also joked about the comments made by Team USA quarterback Darrell Doucette.

Of course, Hill is also currently preparing for the upcoming 2025 NFL season as he confirmed that he’s now fully recovered from a wrist surgery he had at the end of last season. He’s still wearing a protective brace, but said he’s not worried and still plans to achieve 2,000 yards this season.

“I’ve got to bounce back. I need to prove myself at this training camp. I’m still someone who enjoys every catch,” said Hill. “I dream of making the playoffs and doing great things for this team.”

“The end of last season was tough...I was very emotional. Now my mindset has to be different,” he went on. “I know maybe I haven’t yet earned the right to be one of the team captains again, but I want to show my teammates they can count on me in crucial moments.”
