Tony Pollard could miss first game of the season after missing Titans' practice Wednesday and Thursday due to injury
The Tennessee Titans could be without running back Tony Pollard for their Week 10 game against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday.
The Tennessee Titans will face the Los Angeles Chargers on the road this Sunday and it looks they may be without their starting running back Tony Pollard, an unfortunate loss for the 2-6 Titans. Pollard is one of the few bright spots on their offense at the moment.
What injury does Pollard have?
Pollard has been dealing with a foot injury for the last few weeks. Ahead of the Titans' Week 9 game against the New England Patriots, Pollard missed practice all week long. But he tested the foot during warmups before the game and was feeling well enough to play. He ended up playing through the injury to record 28 carries for 128 yards plus three catches for 26 yards through the air.
On Wednesday of this week, Pollard was a limited participant in practice, but by Thursday, he’d been downgraded to a non-participant.
The Titans have said they want to be more careful with Pollard’s workload moving forward. The move to DNP could just be a cautionary one, but if he’s getting worse, Pollard could be looking at missing his first game of the season with Tennessee.
