The KC Chiefs’ TE couldn’t hold back his enthusiasm when talking about Shedeur Sanders getting picked by the Cleveland Browns in the NFL Draft.

Born in Chicago, Joe played varsity football and baseball in Bowling Green, Ohio for BGHS and later played lacrosse at BGSU. A year abroad in Spain changed everything. As destiny would have it he ended up living in Zaragoza, running his own business, teaching Journalism at a private university then working as a SEO journalist for Diario AS.
Update:

“I love this for Cleveland,” he told his ‘New Heights’ podcast listeners on Wednesday. “The Browns fan deep down in my heart is like ‘fuck yeah.’ You get a swag champ that works his ass off that has something to prove now.”

Brother Jason Kelce agreed: “If you’re at all a self-confident person, who believes in themselves, you’re touted by a lot of people and you have the college career that he had, how could you not be upset that you fell this far?”

Jason went on to ask Travis about what he thought about Sanders dropping to the fifth round. The Chiefs’ TE didn’t mince words: “I think whoever the fucking anonymous person who’s saying this should fucking come out and say who were they were,” he said. “Like, what the fuck is that about? Be the one who said it didn’t go well for us. You know, don’t fucking say they’re anonymous.”

He went on to say he thinks the future is bright for Sanders in Cleveland. “I think this is such a fresh start for him,” he said. “I can see him working his ass off and becoming the starting quarterback for Cleveland at some point.”

Jason Kelce continued by discussing how difficult it is in the NFL for young quarterbacks. He didn’t think it was a problem with his characters due to the fact that so many other players with off-field problems have been picked in the first round in the past. “The fact that he got drafted at 144 in the fifth round tells me that maybe these off-field things mattered a little bit, but the bottom line is teams do not think the potential of Shedeur Sanders panning out at the next level is high enough to warrant an earlier pick,” he said. “And teams get this wrong all the time. They got it wrong with Brock Purdy. They got it wrong with Tom Brady. This is not an exact science.”

The brothers continued giving their thoughts on different examples of other players in similar situations, even laughing about their own experiences in the NFL Draft and their successful careers with the Eagles and the Chiefs.

The brothers originally from Cleveland are both looking forward to see what Sanders can do for the Browns and even told him to give them a shout if he needs any help in Cleveland, “Shedeur, hit us up if you need any food recommendations in Cleveland big dog.”
