Why isn’t CeeDee Lamb playing for the Cowboys against the Packers in Week 4?
One very familiar face is returning to Dallas this week to face his old team, but a current star will be on the sidelines.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been officially ruled out for Week 4’s game against the Green Bay Packers due to a high-ankle sprain suffered during their Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears.
How did CeeDee Lamb get injured?
Lamb sustained the injury in the first quarter of the Bears game, in a tackle by Chicago linebacker Noah Sewell, and did not return. Reports indicated that the Cowboys were anticipating a recovery timeline of 3–4 weeks.
Who will replace CeeDee Lamb?
In his absence, George Pickens is expected to step into a more prominent role as the team’s WR1, and others like KaVontae Turpin, Jalen Tolbert and Ryan Flournoy may see increased targets. Jalen Cropper has also been elevated.
