Why isn’t Evan Engram playing for the Jaguars against the Bills? Monday Night Football

Head coach Doug commented that it is unlikely he will be able to make it after putting in effort this week; he still hasn’t reached the necessary level yet.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without one of their most important contributors in the upcoming Week 3 matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Tight end Evan Engram will be sidelined due to a hamstring injury after being unable to practice throughout the week.

How did Evan Engram get injured, and who will substitute him on the Jaguars roster?

He will miss his second straight game on Monday night. The Jaguars ruled Engram out for their game against the Bills due to the hamstring injury he suffered in warmups before last week’s game against the Browns. As a result, he didn’t play in their 18-13 loss on the previous week’s Sunday game.

It’s been a horrible season start for Engram, who had one catch for 5 yards in Week 1. He’s coming off a career year, leading all NFL tight ends with 114 receptions − which was fourth in the league among all players and the second-highest single-season total for a tight end in NFL history − and finishing with 963 receiving yards in 2023.

Someone who can take Engram’s responsibility when the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football is unquestionably tight end Brenton Strange. That name should be remembered and considered by the fantasy football players in the continuation of the season because, with Evan Engram out, the second-year player has a chance to shine after an impressive three-catch, 65-yard performance against the Cleveland Browns last week.
