Ryan Mack Ramczyk is an American football player who plays for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on April 22, 1994, and plays as an offensive tackle.

Ramczyk was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round (32nd overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract worth $8.89 million, including a signing bonus of $4.60 million. During his rookie year, he started the team’s first four games at left tackle because Terron Armstead was injured. After that, he started the remaining 12 games of the season at right tackle as Zach Strief was also injured.

In 2018, Ramczyk started 15 games and was named to the second-team All-Pro. The following year, he started all 16 games and was named to the first-team All-Pro. He was also considered the best offensive tackle player by Pro Football Focus. In 2020, the Saints exercised Ramczyk’s fifth-year option. He started all 16 games of the season and was again named to the All-Pro second team, along with teammates Demario Davis and Alvin Kamara.

On June 30, 2021, Ramczyk signed a five-year, $96 million contract extension with the Saints, which included $60 million in guarantees. However, during the 2021 season, he played only ten games due to a knee injury. In the 2022 season, he appeared in and started all 16 games.

Unfortunately, the 2023 season has been disastrous for Ramczyk. He left the game against the Texans on October 15 due to a concussion and did not return for one game. During the team’s last game against the Giants on December 17, Ramczyk’s knee was injured again. He was out of practice during the week, and there is still not much information on the severity of his injury. One thing is sure: he will not play against the Los Angeles Rams. Hopefully, he will return to the gridiron quickly and help his team clinch the playoff berth, which they still have some chance at.
