Will D'Andre Swift play for the Bears against the Vikings? NFL injury update
Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift is still a question mark as they get ready to face divisional rival Minnesota Vikings for Monday Night Football.
The Chicago Bears are grappling with a seven-game losing streak as well as a recent coaching change. Now, as they prepare to face the Minnesota Vikings, the availability of key players, including running back D’Andre Swift, is uncertain.
Swift’s Week 15 game status
Swift has had a pretty good season up until the last few games. He’s been dealing with a groin injury this week and was a limited participant in Saturday’s practice after missing the previous two.
He is currently listed as questionable for the Bears' Monday Night Football game against the Vikings tomorrow. Interim head coach Thomas Brown said that he feels optimistic. “I’m positive about it”, he told reporters.
Swift’s status in practice was quite similar last week and he eventually did suit up against the San Francisco 49ers, but had just 14 carries for 38 yards.
Who could replace Swift for Bears?
Running back Roschon Johnson has already been ruled out with a concussion, so if Swift is ruled out, it will be Travis Homer to see the majority of the work, as well as Darrynton Evans in the game.
The game kicks off from U.S. Bank Stadium on Monday at 8 p.m. ET. You can follow along with our own Dane Arlauckas' live text coverage of the game right here on AS USA.
