Update:

Davante Adams is one of a number of players listed as questionable for the Rams’ final regular-season game, as Los Angeles hosts the Arizona Cardinals in a Week 18 Sunday Night Football clash.

Adams sat out Weeks 16 and 17 with a hamstring injury, but returned to Rams practice as a limited participant on Thursday.

“We’ll see”

Asked about Adams in a pregame news conference on Friday, Rams head coach Sean McVay was cautious about the WR’s prospects of making a comeback against the Cardinals.

“We’ll see how today goes,” McVay said. “That’ll be a big indicator on what that looks like […]. Davante was able to get out there and go through individually, he felt really good. Today will give us a little bit more clarity.”

Speaking earlier in the week, the Rams head coach had said his objective with Adams is to have the 33-year-old fit for the playoffs. “It’s more of just to make sure that we’re able to get him a full workload,” McVay told reporters on Wednesday, as he discussed the WR’s recovery.

“He’s going to be able to do some different things in a more controlled setting, but just with the position he plays, being able to open up, want to make sure that we’re getting everything ready to roll and being smart with him.”

McVay lauds “awesome” Adams

In his press conference on Friday, McVay praised Adams’ “awesome” impact since he joined the Rams on a two-year contract in March. “He’s been everything that we’d hoped for, and that much more,” McVay said.

Nobody wants to be out there more than him. That’s frustrating, having that hamstring injury, but watching how he’s handled that has given me some insight into what a special human being he is, and the mental toughness and just the fortitude and resilience that he has.”

Rams injury report for Week 18:

  • Out: Josh Wallace (ankle), Kevin Dotson (ankle)
  • Questionable: Davante Adams (hamstring), Blake Corum (ankle), Alaric Jackson (knee), Omar Speights (ankle), Kyren Williams (ankle), Tyler Higbee (ankle)
  • Doubtful: Terrance Ferguson (hamstring)

Cardinals vs Rams: times, how to watch

In Week 18 of the 2025 NFL regular season, the Rams host the Cardinals today, Sunday Jan. 4, 2026, with kickoff at SoFi Stadium scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET/1:25 p.m. PT.

In the U.S., the Arizona vs Los Angeles game will air nationally on Fox. Your streaming options include fubo, which offers a free trial.

Having already made sure of a playoff spot, the 11-5 Rams head into Week 18 as the NFC’s No. 6 seed, but can still leapfrog the San Francisco 49ers into No. 5. After the 49ers’ defeat to the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, a win against the Cardinals will be enough for the Rams to overtake San Francisco.
