You won’t believe this Super Bowl LX bet: The bettor will get nearly $4.5 million if he wins the wager
A sensational bet has been placed on the Super Bowl that could see the lucky person become very rich.
A bold wager recently caught the attention of NFL bettors: a single player placed $150,000 on the Seattle Seahawks to make the playoffs, win the NFC, and win Super Bowl LX. If this insane triple bet succeeds, the payout is projected to reach nearly $4.5 million.
Yahoo Sports were able to confirm that one risky punter from Nevada put $50,000 on the three different Seahawks outcomes back in August of this year.
Should the insanely priced $150,000 hit-and-hope come through, they would bank a total of just under $4.5 million in winnings. Of course, Seattle would need to beat over a decade of misfortunes to do so: their last Super Bowl came in 2014.
According to Yahoo, the three bets are as follows:
- $50,000 on the Seahawks to win Super Bowl 60 at 60-1 odds to win $3 million
- $50,000 on the Seahawks to win NFC at 28-1 odds to win $1.4 million
- $50,000 on the Seahawks to make playoffs at +185 odds to win $92,500
I guess that puts pressure on Darnold, who recently joined Seattle as the star man.
In 2024, Darnold started all 17 games for Minnesota. He completed 361 of 545 passing attempts, which is a 66.2 % completion rate; he also threw for 4,319 yards, averaging 7.9 yards per attempt. His touchdown-to-interception ratio stood at 35 touchdowns vs 12 interceptions, while his passer rating was 102.5.
Sam Darnold’s 2025 campaign with the Seattle Seahawks has gotten off to a promising start. According to NFL.com, Darnold has completed 70 of his 100 pass attempts: those passes have translated into 905 yards, averaging about 9.1 yards per attempt, as tracked by ESPN.
In Week 4 vs. Arizona, Darnold completed 18 of 26 for 242 yards, 1 touchdown, 0 interceptions, plus added 1 rush for 24 yards.
