Young Eagles fan doesn’t hold back on disappointing Wild Card loss: “I want A.J. Brown packing his bags”
A frustrated young fan’s blunt postgame rant captured the mood in Philadelphia following the Eagles’ wild-card loss to the 49ers.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ season is over after the San Francisco 49ers mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to prevail 23-19 in the teams’ wild-card round meeting Sunday. Not only did the defeat dash Philadelphia’s hopes of winning back-to-back Super Bowls for the first time, it also infuriated one young fan, who has since gone viral for his choice words aimed at wide receiver A.J. Brown and offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.
A.J. Brown “can’t make those drops”
Brown did not have his happiest day at the office against San Francisco, catching just three of seven passes for 25 yards, with a few drops thrown in for good measure. Young fan Sam Salvo made it clear he was not impressed with the 28-year-old when speaking to 6abc Action News immediately after the game.
“This was a huge let down. This was my Christmas present, and I got a loss,” Sam began, before ruthlessly letting rip on Brown.
“I’m feeling two of two things. A, I want A.J. Brown packing his bags and I want him somewhere that is not here. I love you A.J. but you can’t make those drops in that game.”
Brown trade rumors already swirling
The youngster may well get his wish. Brown has appeared unhappy with his role in the Eagles’ offense at various points this season, and there have been murmurs of trade rumors for several months. A number of potential suitors are reportedly ready to make a move for the wide receiver during the offseason.
“I want Kevin Patullo flipping burgers”
Patullo was the other target of Sam’s wrath, with the young Philadelphia fan believing the offensive coordinator would be better suited to a different career.
“I also want Kevin Patullo flipping burgers at the local McDonald’s. As an offensive coordinator, it’s like he’s flipping burgers, one side he’s cooking and the other half is completely raw.”
While Patullo may not be destined for burger flipping, there appears to be a strong chance he will not continue in his current post for much longer. Despite boasting plenty of offensive talent, the Eagles ranked close to the bottom of the league in most major offensive categories this season. Patullo, in his first year as play-caller, will almost certainly pay the price.
