Carlos Ferrero will not accompany Carlos Alcaraz to the Olympic Games. His agent, Albert Molina, confirmed this Saturday at Wimbledon to the Spanish journalists. The Valencian Ferrero will take advantage of those days to take a vacation before the American hard court tour, and he will use the coach accreditation to accompany the Murcian player at the tennis tournament from July 27 to August 4.

Molina has a degree in Physical Education and was a conditioning coach on the circuit before dedicating himself entirely to his work as an athlete representative for the giant IMG.

Alcaraz will be in the Olympic Village with the rest of the “Spanish Armada” tennis players, Rafa Nadal, Pedro Martínez, Jaume Munar, Pablo Carreño, Marcel Granollers, Sara Sorribes, and Cristina Bucsa. The rest of the team, including Molina, will stay at the Molitor Hotel, next to the Roland Garros facilities, where the Olympic event will be held.

If Carlos advances far in the tournament and can win a medal, Ferrero will travel to Paris to support him. He will use day passes to attend the matches and be close with Carlos.

Alcaraz will be guided by the captain of the Spanish National Team, David Ferrer, and will have the support of Samuel López, Pablo Carreño’s coach and also a coach at the Ferrero Tennis Academy in Villena, where Alcaraz is training.
