2024 Black Desert Championship Round 3 Saturday tee times and pairings
Utah plays host to this week’s PGA Tour event at the new Black Desert Resort course, one known for hazardous lava rocks and high altitude.
Germany’s Stephan Jaeger held a slim lead at the Black Desert Championship in Ivins, as darkness halted second-round play on Friday. Jaeger shot an impressive 8-under 63, reaching 14-under-par for the tournament, putting him one stroke ahead of American Ben Kohles (64) and first-round leader Adam Svensson (69) from Canada. Play in Utah, the first time the Tour has visited since 1963, will resume Saturday with 19 players still on the course, including Matt McCarty, who sits tied for fourth at 12-under alongside Harris English, Sam Ryder, and Sweden’s Henrik Norlander.
Jaeger’s round was highlighted by nine birdies, including two incredible chip-ins, solidifying his place atop the leaderboard. With his PGA Tour status secured after winning the Houston Open in March, the German appears to be playing with even more confidence as we head into Saturday’s action. But the leaderboard suggests it could go down to the last.
