The awesome Albany course in the beautiful Bahamas takes center stage this weekend with world number one Scottie Scheffler looking to three-peat.
2025 Hero World Challenge: Friday Round 2 tee times and pairings
The 2025 Hero World Challenge is shaping up to be a must-watch event, drawing some of the biggest names in golf to the picturesque Albany course in the Bahamas. Scheduled for December 4-7, the tournament isn’t just about sun, sand, and swing; it’s also a showcase of elite talent, featuring players who’ve dominated leaderboards all year.
Who is playing in the 2025 Hero World Challenge?
Scottie Scheffler, the reigning World No. 1 and the tournament’s defending champion, is headlining this year’s event. He’s not alone, though. The field includes six major champions, eight fresh faces, and representatives from eight different countries, all competing in an intimate 20-player format.
The Hero World Challenge prides itself on quality over quantity, and the 2025 roster proves it. Participants from the victorious European 2025 Ryder Cup team - including Justin Rose, Robert MacIntyre and Sepp Straka – will tee it up, alongside American counterparts like Sam Burns, J.J. Spaun, and captain Keegan Bradley.
After day 1, five players are tied for the lead. Sepp Straka, Wyndham Clark, J.J. Spaun, Akshay Bhatia and Scottie Scheffler sit at the top of the leaderboard at 6-under par.
