2025 Truist Championship tee times: Round 2 groupings on Friday
After the first round of the Truist Championship, the American Keith Mitchell is the early frontrunner in Philadelphia.

The U.S.’s Keith Mitchell leads the Truist Championship after the first round at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, having ended day one with a single-stroke advantage over compatriot Denny McCarthy.
Mitchell hits front with -9 first round
Mitchell, ranked 90th in the world, shot a first-round 61 to move to nine under par on the Wissahickon Course, which is the one-off host for this year’s event.
The Truist Championship is normally held at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, but was moved to Philadelphia because next week’s PGA Championship - the second major in 2025 - is to take place at Quail Hollow.
How did McIlroy fare on day one?
Behind Mitchell and McCarthy, there is a four-way tie for third. U.S. trio Rickie Fowler, Collin Morikawa and Askhay Bhatia all on seven under, as is Austria’s Sepp Straka
The pre-tournament favorite, Masters champion Rory McIlroy, finished day one on four under. The Northern Irishman is in joint 25th, alongside nine other players who include the Truist title holder, Canada’s Taylor Pendrith.
