How much prize money does the winner get at the 2025 Truist Championship?

The sixth event of the 2025 PGA Tour season gets underway as players tee off in the first round of the Truist Championship on Thursday.

It’s a unique event in that the former Wells Fargo Championship is making a one-year stop just outside of Philadelphia to play at The Philadelphia Cricket Club, with regular venue Quail Hollow preparing for next week’s PGA Championship.

Masters champion Rory McIlroy is the bookmakers’ favorite for victory at this week’s Truist Championship with the action set to take place from Thursday May 8 to Sunday May 11 at the Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course.

The Northern Ireland native will be pushed all the way by the likes of: Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg, Justin Thomas and Viktor Hovland. However, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has decided to skip the upcoming Truist Championship in a bid to avoid overexertion.

Prize money at the 2025 Truist

There is no change in the prize money at the 2025 event with winner set to pocket $3.6m.

The top eleven places will each receive a minimum of $500,000, with the bottom of the leaderboard in 72nd place still earning $36,000.

McIlroy is the reigning champion and the player to beat at the Philadelphia course.
