Canelo Álvarez vs GGG: time, TV and how to watch the weigh-in live Friday
One of the greatest trilogy fights in boxing history will come to a close this weekend. Don’t miss the weigh-in of Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.
Saul Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin will face each other for the third time on Saturday, Sept. 17, and they will be fighting for the undisputed super middleweight championship.
The bout will be held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the same venue where they faced off for their first two fights.
Both boxers will have something to prove- Alvarez is coming off a painful defeat handed by Dmitry Bivol when the Mexican leveled up to aim for a light heavyweight championship, while Golovkin will be avenging what he believes were two victories that were denied him in the first and second chapters of their fight series.
Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin pre-fight face-off
Canelo and GGG will be stepping on the scales on Friday at 3:30 p.m. for the pre-fight weigh-in. The maximum weight for the super middleweight division is 168 pounds, and by all indications, both fighters will not exceed the limit.
Boxing fans enjoy viewing weigh-ins, as these are a chance for them to see the fighters go face-to-face in a mini-show before they head into the ring. Since there has been a bit of drama and name-calling in the run-up to Saturday’s main event, the weigh-in itself is a spectacle worth watching.
