David Benavidez (30-0, 24 KO) and top 2 at light heavyweight shys away from Usyk : “I’m not ready for him yet”
The Arizona native is one of the hottest properties in world boxing and remains unbeaten after 30 fights.

The 28-year-old remains undefeated and needed 12 rounds to beat Cuban David Morrell in his February 1 fight in Nevada despite a knockdown scare in the eleventh round.
The win sees ‘The Mexican Monster’ move to 30 fights undefeated with 24 ending in a knockout.

Speaking to Fight Hype recently, the Arizona native shied away from the idea of fighting Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk just now.
Benavidez claimed: “To be honest with you I have to deal with these monsters in this weight class first”.
“Usyk? I don’t think I have enough experience to go up against Usyk. I’m just being 100% honest. Like you say never say never, maybe in the future, maybe in 5 or 6 years but by then Usyk will be 40 something or even older. I have tremendous respect for Usyk and he’s the greatest of all time.”
The Ukrainian superstar recently secured his place in heavyweight folklore with a second victory over Tyson Fury to retain his unified WBC, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles.
