Update:

A dozen LIV golfers qualified to play at the 2025 Masters at Augusta National. After Friday only seven are left. Cameron Smith’s blazer-wearing warm-up sessions didn’t seem to work out and Sergio García’s fashion statement didn’t work any wonders for him either. The 2017 Masters winner was expected to play better, but his LIV success in 2025 didn’t transfer over to the demanding level of play at Augusta National.

Phil Mickelson was close to making the cut, but a double bogey on 15 and bogeys on 16 and 18 left him out of the race this weekend. Dustin Johnson missed the cut line by one shot after bogeying No. 17 and a double-bogey on 18. And rounding out the five who missed the cut was Brooks Koepka, who shot a snowman (8 - quadruple bogey) on No. 18 to give him the weekend off.

Which LIV golfers made the cut?

Let’s start with the first ones who will tee off on Saturday morning: Jon Rahm, Charl Schwartzel and Joaquín Neimman all finished one shot above the cut line at 2-over par and will have to go low on moving day to work their way up the leaderboard. Jon Rahm has been off the grid at the majors since leaving the PGA Tour and his game just hasn’t been the same. Experts thought Joaquín Niemann might play a little better, but the Chilean struggled to score despite some excellent iron play on Friday and Saturday.

Bubba Watson (-1) proved that he still knows his way around Augusta National and Patrick Reed (-3), despite problems with the putter, played some top-notch golf too. The always-entertaining Tyrrell Hatton shot 5-under par after Thursday and Friday and could definitely be in contention on Sunday.
