The 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson tournament is set to kick off on Thursday, May 11 at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. Throughout most of its history, the tournament was the sole PGA Tour stop named in honor of a professional golfer. Currently, it stands as one of only two golf events with this distinction, alongside the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

TPC Craig Ranch is a championship golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf. The course, which was constructed in 2004, boasts a par 72 and spans 7,438 yards. The Zoysia Fairways and Bent Grass greens are lined with trees, offering a parkland layout that crosses Rowlett Creek 11 times.

The AT&T Byron Nelson brings together top TOUR players from around the world all with their eyes on the same prize, with them the Korean back-to-back champion K.H. Lee, who joined the prominent list of former two-time winners that also includes the legends, Bruce Lietzke and Jack Nicklaus.

One of the players gaining attention for the upcoming 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson lineup is Scottie Scheffler, who chose to skip the event at Quail Hollow last week in favor of playing in Texas. Additionally, with Jordan Spieth withdrawing due to a wrist injury, Scheffler, who ranks second, is now the clear favorite. Among others on the favorites list are Tyrrell Hatton, Jason Day, Tom Kim, and Hideki Matsuyama.
