The Genesis Scottish Open will take place one week before The Open, which will be held at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club. Players are anticipated to demonstrate a commendable performance at the Renaissance Club located in North Berwick during the upcoming weekend before the big British tournament.

But how much money does the winner of the Genesis Scottish Open make?

The prize purse for the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open is set at $9 million. There’s been a $1 million increase from 2022. This year the winner’s prize is set to $1,620,000.

The winner of the event will receive the majority of the total purse, while the runner-up will receive a paycheck of $981,000. The golfer who finishes in third place will receive a prize of $621,000, while the player in fourth place will be awarded $441,000. The golfer who finishes last on the 65-player final leaderboard will receive a prize of $19,350.
