The 87th edition of the Masters is almost here, with the tournament set to take place April 6-9 at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.

While Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion and is also among the three current favorites to take home the green jacket, Tiger Woods will be getting all the attention as he makes his way down to the tournament.

The five-time Green Jacket winner will be hoping to build on last year’s 47th-place finish at Augusta.

Woods had his first official PGA Tour event since the 2020 Masters at the 2022 Tournament. He was sidelined after suffering multiple leg injuries in a car crash in California. The 15-time major champion was out of competitive action for 17 months.

Woods had not featured at the Players Championship, which was earlier in March, since 2019, when he finished tied for 30th place.

When did Tiger Woods last feature on the PGA Tour?

The 47-year-old last participated at the February 2023 Genesis Invitational.

After shooting 1-under 283 and finishing T-45 in Los Angeles, he basically repeated the same message he said pre-tournament and for almost the whole year:

“Here’s the deal: Like I told you guys last year, I’m not going to play any more than probably the majors and maybe a couple more. That’s it, that’s all my body will allow me to do,” Woods said. “My back the way it is, all the surgeries I had on my back, my leg the way it is, I just can’t. That’s just going to be my future. So my intent last year was to play in all four majors, I got three of the four. Hopefully, this year I can get all four and maybe sprinkle in a few here and there. But that’s it for the rest of my career. I know that, and I understand that. That’s just my reality.”
