Tiger Woods' legacy at the Masters: His Green Jacket collection and most recent victory
Woods struggled at the 2024 Masters and will miss the entire 2025 season but will always be remembered for his success at Augusta National.

Sadly, we don’t get to see Tiger Woods tee it up very often these days, with the 49-year-old injured once again and missing the 2025 season. He won’t be playing at the Masters in 2025 or in any other tournament due to a torn achilles. Woods has been in the headlines though, with his recent announcement of his relationship to Donald Trump’s former daughter-in-law.
Woods hopes to be able to play again in 2026
The golf legend is focusing on recovering and rehab once again and refuses to throw in the towel despite the long list of injuries and his age.
As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured.

Woods has revealed that he will be working on a project with Augusta national to create a new nine-hole short course. “Partnering with Augusta National Golf Club to serve its surrounding community is truly special,” Woods said in a statement.
When was the last time Tiger Woods won the Masters?
His last major tournament win came in 2019 at the Masters.
Tiger’s Masters and major record
Tiger had looked set to break Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major victories until a series of crippling injuries derailed his career. Woods won 14 majors by the age of 32, with his first of them coming at the 1997 Masters when he was just 21.
He then won another 13 majors in the next 11 seasons, including his second, third and fourth victories at Augusta in 2001, 2002 and 2005 respectively.

But it is perhaps his fifth and most recent Masters win which will live longest in the memory. Having struggled for fitness for more than a decade, and having one only one tournament in five years prior, Woods defied all the odds to win his 15th major in 2019, 11 years after his 14th.
Tiger's playing record over the last 10 years
- 2015: 11 tournaments with four cuts, one WD and best result T10 at the Wyndham Championship.
- 2016: One tournament at the Hero World Challenge (15)
- 2017: Two tournaments - Best finish Hero World Challenge (T9)
- 2018: 19 tournaments - Two cuts and and a win at the 2018 Tour Championship and second place at the PGA Championship
- 2019: Two cuts and a win at the 2019 Masters
- 2020: Three tournaments, cut at 2020 US Open and T38 at the Masters
- 2021: No tournaments
- 2022: Three tournaments: Masters (47), PGA Championship WD and British Open (cut)
- 2023: Three tournaments: Masters (WD), best finish Hero World Challenges (18)
- 2024: Played in five tournaments: 3 cuts, 1 WD and finished in last place at the Masters +16
Only Nicklaus (six times) has won more often on American golf’s most iconic track and few believe that will change any time soon, with Woods not expected to be near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday. However, making into to the weekend would see him take the outright record for most cuts made at August (24), which may be a more realistic goal.
