It seems that the friction between Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will not end anytime soon.

In a video that has gone viral, Mayweather is seen to be provoking Paul while he was backed up by a group of people. The 26-year-old is then shown to be running away from the scene after the confrontation.

In a tweet, the YouTuber-turned-boxer said 25 men hopped out of three cars to try and jump him on Wednesday night.

The young boxer also released a video giving a different number, saying that the former champion appeared with 50 men to confront him.

The events occurred after the NBA game between the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Miami.

Jake Paul: ‘I’m not stupid’

Paul explained why he escaped the situation.

“I’m leaving the Miami Heat game and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up outta nowhere out of like some side alley waiting for me outside of the stadium. And they were like ‘So what’s up? So what’s up?’”

I just took your hat and you’re still mad about it? C’mon bro. And then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to try and jump me. I’m out of that b**ch. Floyd, you wanna run it one on one, no problem. But, I’m not dumb, okay? I’m not gonna sit there and fight fifty dudes,” said Paul.

“You’re mad because I took your f**king hat. Are you serious? Get over it bro,” added the social media celebrity.

Jake Paul and Mayweather’s hat

The conflict between the two boxers began when Paul snatched Mayweather’s hat from his head at a press conference before the former champion’s fight against Paul’s older brother Logan two years ago. Mayweather was not amused by the younger boxer’s actions.

Paul is fresh from a defeat at the hands of British boxer Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia last month, his first loss since he began his boxing career.
