Social media personality Jake Paul will finally take on British fighter Tommy Fury on Sunday, Feb. 26, after their showdown was postponed two times. The fight will be held at Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia at 2 p.m. ET.

The clash will not just be the culmination of the rivalry that had been brewing between the two- it will also be the way by which Paul can achieve legitimacy as a boxer. According to World Boxing Council president Mauricio Sulaiman, a win by the 26-year-old would put him in the WBC cruiserweight rankings.

Who is Jake Paul?

Jake Paul began his road to fame on Vine, then appeared in the series Bizaardvark on the Disney Channel. He eventually built up a massive presence on social media with his daily vlog, with more than 20 million subscribers on YouTube, 22 million on Instagram, and 17 million on TikTok.

What is Jake Paul’s boxing record?

Having credibility as a fighter is something that the YouTuber has yet to accomplish. He has been successful in his past forays into the ring, winning all six of his bouts, including four by knockout. However, none of the high-profile matches have been against professional boxers, which Fury certainly is.

Jake Paul vs AnEsonGib

Paul made his debut as a professional boxer by going up against British social media star AnEsonGib in 2020, and knocked out his fellow YouTuber in the very first round. This victory upped his confidence level and later that year, he signed up for another fight.

Jake Paul vs Nate Robinson

His next opponent was former NBA player Nate Robinson, with the match forming part of the undercard for the exhibition match between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. Paul knocked out the NBA Slam Dunk champion in the second round.

Jake Paul vs Ben Askren

Paul then challenged mixed martial artist and Olympian Ben Askren over social media to be his next rival and the fight was set for April 2021. Paul scored another first-round knockout and established himself as a money-making fighter, claiming that the match’s PPV earnings reached $65 million.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley Part 1

The young influencer trash-talked his way into his fight against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, and for the first time, the bout reached the full eight rounds. Paul eventually scored a split-decision victory in their August 2021 fight, with which he was unsatisfied as he wanted a knockout.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley Part 2

He got his wish in their rematch, which took place later that year. Paul was originally set to fight Tommy Fury, but since that didn’t push through, Woodley stepped in as his replacement. This time Paul knocked him out in the sixth round.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva

The only fight Paul had last year was against former UFC champion Anderson Silva. The fight went eight rounds, with Paul winning by unanimous decision.
