Jason Day WD: The Players Championship 2025 at TPC Sawgrass Round 1 Thursday updated tee times and pairings
144 competitors are set to compete in Florida with the action starting on Thursday March 13.


The big news early Thursday is that Jason Day has withdrawn from The Players Championship due to illness. The golfer from Australia was one of the favorites going into the tournament. Danny Walker will take his place.
Scottie Scheffler will be aiming for a hat-trick of wins after he became the first player in the history of The Players Championship to win back-to-back tournaments last year.

The New Jersey native will be one of the 144 players participating at the competition which features winners on the PGA Tour since the previous Players Championship, recent winners of major championships and leading players in the FedEx Cup standings from the current and preceding seasons.
The action at the 51st edition of The Players Championship tournament which will be staged at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and will run from March 13–16 and tees off on Thursday morning.
