Max Holloway vs Dustin Poirier: fights, record, KOs and UFC stats of each fighter
Poirier’s farewell fight promises fireworks as Holloway prepares for his first title defense after KO win over Gaethje.

Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier will headline UFC 318 in a high-stakes battle for the coveted BMF title. It will mark Holloway’s first defense of the “Baddest Motherfucker” belt, which he claimed with a devastating knockout of Justin Gaethje at UFC 300.
For Poirier, however, it will be a poignant occasion – the final walk to the Octagon of a legendary career, and a chance to go out on a high.
Max “Blessed” Holloway: 26-8-0
Widely considered one of the most iconic fighters in UFC history, Max Holloway returns to action following a brutal knockout loss to Ilia Topuria at UFC 308, where he had hoped to reclaim the featherweight crown. The Hawaiian first entered the UFC in 2012, debuting with a defeat against none other than Dustin Poirier, the man he now meets again more than a decade later.
Holloway ruled the featherweight division from 2017 to 2019, before losing the belt to Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 245. Despite two more losses to the Australian, he finally lifted gold again five years later, earning the BMF title by flooring Gaethje in spectacular fashion.

In 2019, he defeated Holloway to claim the interim lightweight title but failed to unify it after being submitted by Khabib. Now, at UFC 318, Poirier steps in for one last fight – a final shot at the BMF title, which slipped through his fingers in 2023 after being knocked out by Gaethje.
