Born in Chicago, Joe played varsity football and baseball in Bowling Green, Ohio for BGHS and later played lacrosse at BGSU. A year abroad in Spain changed everything. As destiny would have it he ended up living in Zaragoza, running his own business, teaching Journalism at a private university then working as a SEO journalist for Diario AS.
Update:

Spiranac appeared on the Vanity Index podcast with Wells Adams and Chad Mumm to talk about golf and other things the Instagram celebrity participates in. She discussed what she would do differently if she was the PGA Tour Commissioner and gave some information on Tiger Woods and Colt Knost.

What did she say about playing with Chris Pratt?

Spiranac didn’t hold back about playing with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ actor Chris Pratt. When asked about who was the biggest celebrity she had played with she immediately mentioned Pratt and gave a little more information too.

“At Genesis they did a celebrity Ryder Cup and my partner was Nick Jonas and we played against Chris Pratt,” she said. “He was very slow. Might be the slowest golfer I’ve ever played with. Super nice guy. Unbelievably slow. And we were like four holes behind a nine-hole, like, little thing and they’re like, you need to speed it up. And he had all of these people around him and he’d tell these amazing stories and we’re like, ‘hit the golf ball. Hit it!’.”

Pratt is well known for his acting. Not so much for his golf. But, like other celebrities, he has been invited to several Pro-Ams, like last year at the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, where he played with the likes of Peyton Manning, Jason Day, Rory Mcilroy and Anthony Gonzalez.
