Update:

Despite the public animosity in the buildup to their own fight, it is clear that both Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia feel a certain level of friendship between each other.

In the wake of his seventh round knockout of Frank Martin, Garcia was seen on the ring apron congratulating Tank with a message for the champ on his t-shirt.

While it isn’t possible to hear exactly what is being said, both fighters are laughing and embracing. Garcia then shows Davis his shirt which reads “Tanks #1 fan” on the front. Turning around, he reveals the message “rematch me bitch!” on the back, at which both fighters laugh and hug.

All of this brings out a huge glaring question. Will there be a rematch? After their wholesome meeting, Davis seemed to rule out any possibility of a rematch, saying, “Oh, Ryan? He is crazy, talking about a rematch. He said, ‘I was the best at 132 to 145′. He said that. Saying he wants to fight me again. I will kick his ass again.”

Fans have been fairly united on social media about the whole thing with one comment saying, “He needs to worry about that suspension” while another echoed that sentiment saying, “Ostarine Man is going to be suspended. He needs to worry about that.”

For the moment it looks as if a rematch is off the table, but one thing is certain. If they do make a rematch, the money for both fighters would be insane. And in boxing, when it makes money, it makes sense. Watch this space.
