SIGA to launch SIGA ASIA in 2025, expanding global integrity mission
Announced in Dubai, the new branch will bring SIGA’s values to Asia and strengthen partnerships across the region, with the UAE shortlisted as its potential headquarters.
The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has announced the launch of SIGA ASIA in 2025, a major milestone in its mission to uphold integrity in sport worldwide. The news was revealed by SIGA’s Co-Founder and Global CEO Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros during the inaugural Summit on Female Leadership in Sport – Dubai Edition.
“The time has come to plant the seeds, to plant the flag — not just to embrace the UAE and the Middle East, but the whole of Asia. I am proud to announce our firm decision to start moving the needle and take concrete steps to create SIGA ASIA. A global vision and a global mission require boots on the ground — a culture of proximity, trust and confidence. We stand side by side with those who share our vision of sport and entrust us with their faith and support, as we strive to improve lives, move sport forward, and act as a beacon of light and a catalyst for human, social, and sustainable economic development. This is why we are here. This is why we say yes to SIGA ASIA.”
Bringing SIGA’s message to Asia
With the United Arab Emirates shortlisted as the potential headquarters, SIGA ASIA will work to promote SIGA’s Universal Standards on Sport Integrity across Asia, tailored to regional needs. It joins SIGA AMERICA, SIGA EUROPE, and SIGA LATIN AMERICA as part of the organization’s expanding global structure.
From a base in the UAE — described as a “strategic hub that bridges East and West” — the new regional branch aims to build strong alliances with governments, sports bodies, civil society, business, and media. Its goal: to advance sport integrity and sustainable development through trusted, collaborative initiatives.
