The prize money Mensik earns for beating Djokovic to the Miami Masters 1000
The Czech stopped one of the greats reach 100 in Miami, and pocketed a substantial sum of money as he became champion of his first Masters 1000.

Only time will tell if Jakub Mensik becomes the next great hope of Czech tennis – a country that has long been waiting for a new star. But what’s already certain is that, at just 19 years old, Mensik made headlines around the world by pulling off a major upset in the final of the Miami Open, defeating none other than Novak Djokovic and denying him a historic 100th career title.

Mensik’s Miami Masters money
Winning his first Masters 1000 title against one of the greatest players in tennis history will leave an indelible mark on Mensik’s young career, as will the sizable prize money he takes home. This year’s Miami Open – the second Masters 1000 event of the season – featured a total prize pool of $9,193,540, with the lion’s share going to the champion of the men’s singles draw.

As this year’s winner, Jakub Mensik earned $1,124,380, a windfall that places him among the top prize money earners of the 2025 season so far.
Djokovic, as runner-up, took home $597,890 – a significant sum, though surely small consolation after missing out on a milestone title.
