These are the 12 LIV golfers that have qualified for the 2025 Masters at Augusta National

The stage is set for the 89th edition of the Masters. Defending champion Scottie Scheffler will be attempting to make history by winning back-to-back titles - a feat just three players have achieved, the most recent being Tiger Woods in 2001 and 2002.

Previous Masters winners confirmed for this year’s event

Among the star-studded field are several other previous winners, who have donned the green jacket - Jon Rahm, Hideki Matsuyama, Dustin Johnson, Sergio García, Jordan Spieth...

Among the invitees are LIV Golf’s Joaquin Niemann and Denmark’s Nicolai Højgaard who both received special exemptions to compete, as Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament explained: “In support of Augusta National’s efforts to develop interest in golf globally, deserving international players not otherwise qualified have been invited throughout the Tournament’s history. The tradition continues as we welcome Nicolai and Joaquin back to the Masters, as both players have showcased their talent while competing around the world. We look forward to their arrival this April.”

Niemann is one of 12 LIV Golf players who have accepted an invitation to take part, including Phil Mickelson, Charl Schwartzel, Patrick Reed and two-time winner Bubba Watson.

When is the 2025 Masters?

The 2025 Masters at Augusta National takes place at Augusta National Golf Club in in Augusta, Georgia with the First Round scheduled for Thursday, April 10. The tournament will run until Sunday, April 13. Tee times will be announced nearer the event.
