Woods didn’t have all aspects of his game in Scotland as links golf was a bit too demanding for Tiger with trouble everywhere and cold, wet conditions.
Some experts have said they think Woods needs to get in more competitive rounds in order to compete at the major tournaments. He looked to be in better shape at the US Open, but he didn’t have enough to be competitive.
Tiger’s appearances in tournaments have come in dribs and drabs since his serious accident in 2021. Woods, with problems walking, has only competed in three tournaments this year: the Genesis Invitational, in which he was 43rd,was forced to withdraw, the Masters Tournament and the PGA Championship, where he missed the cut.
