UFC 318 full slate: bouts, order and times beyond Holloway vs. Poirier
Max Holloway is set to make his first defense of the UFC’s BMF title against Dustin Poirier in what promises to be an emotionally charged showdown at UFC 318.
The prestigious “Baddest Motherf***er” belt is once again on the line. Holloway claimed the crown in spectacular fashion at UFC 300, stopping Justin Gaethje with a last-second knockout that instantly became an all-time highlight. Now, he’ll look to defend that title against an old foe — Dustin Poirier — who has announced that this will be his final UFC fight.
The bout carries serious weight for both fighters. Poirier defeated Holloway in their first meeting back in 2012, which was also Holloway’s UFC debut. He beat him again in 2019 to capture the interim lightweight belt. Now, more than a decade after their first clash, they’ll complete an unlikely trilogy — a fitting close to one of the promotion’s most compelling rivalries.
