What are the ATP rankings after Jannik Sinner’s victory at the 2024 ATP Finals?
The Italian tennis star was victorious at the 2024 ATP Finals, but an American was the winner in the rankings.
Jannik Sinner took home the trophy in the 2024 ATP Finals with a 6-4, 6-4 win over American Taylor Fritz in Turin, further emphasising the otherworldly control he has over world tennis at this moment in time.
Sinner had overcome Casper Ruud in the previous round while Taylor Fritz edged out Zverev, setting up the last game with two of the most in-form foes in tennis this year.
And it did not disappoint, with Italian bringing his A-game against a tough opponent on the night. Once he got a grip on the game and entered a scarily good flow state, he did not let go, with the tie over after one hour and 25 minutes.
However, while Sinner gets the shiny trophy, it was Fritz who won when looking at the ATP Rankings, as the California-born star shot up the table, breaking into the top 5 players in the world.
Who is in the top 10 of the ATP tennis rankings?
Sinner sits at the top of the tree with his win, on 10,330 points. Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz make the podium, on 7,315 and 6,810 points, perspectively.
Ahead of Fritz, who closes out the top five, is Daniil Medvedev, on 4,830, just 500 ahead of the man from San Diego. Knocked out of the top 5 is a certain Novak Djokovic, who drops to 6th.
Closing out the top 10 are Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Alex de Minaur and Grigor Dimitrov.
