Update:

The final regular event of the 2025 PGA Tour season is in full swing. The Wyndham Championship is taking place at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, where thunderstorms forced officials to suspend play on Friday.

Action resumed at 7:30am (ET) on Saturday morning, with players completing their second rounds before Round 3 began a few hours later.

However, some failed to make it beyond the morning’s initial play, with the cut taking place after the second round was completed. As was the case for most of Friday, the cut line came at 3-under par.

With the FedEx Cup playoffs starting with the FedEx St. Jude Championship next week (Thursday, August 5 to Sunday, August 8), some of the tour’s very best stars, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, have opted to rest ahead of a busy few weeks, which will conclude with the Tour Championship (Thursday, August 21 to Sunday, August 24).

However, there are still a host of big names in the field, including major champions Keegan Bradley, Jordan Spieth, Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama, and fan favorites Max Homa, Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau.

What is the cut line at the 2025 Wyndham Championship?

As is the case for the vast majority of PGA Tour events, the field was cut after the conclusion of the second round on Friday, which, as mentioned, was interrupted by inclement weather.

The top 65 players and ties make the cut, which came at 3-under par.

Zach Johnson (-1), Bradley (E), Andrew Novak (E), Max Homa (+1) and Sahith Theegala (+6) were among those who failed to make it through to the weekend, while Tom Kim and Akshay Bhatia withdrew before finishing their second rounds.

At the other end of the leaderboard, Cameron Young (-15) finish Round 2 three shots clear of Mac Meissner, Joel Dahmen and Sunjae Im (all -12), with Mark Hubbard and Aaron Rai (both -11), a shot further back.

2025 Wyndham Championship prize money: how much does the winner get?

The Wyndham Championship is the second least lucrative regular event on the PGA Tour in 2025, with a total prize purse of “only” $8.2 million.

Of that total, the winner will take home $1,476,000 with the runner-up collecting $893,000.

FedEx Cup playoffs looming large

The tournament will also play a crucial role in determining the field for the start of the FedEx Cup playoffs.

The top 70 golfers on the FedEx Cup points list will be eligible for next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship, with many players needing a solid performance at Sedgefield Country Club to secure their place.
