The season-ending CME Group Tour Championship kicks off Thursday at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida.

In the historic tournament, the top 60 players from the Race to the CME Globe will go head-to-head for a record $4 million winner’s prize from the $11 million purse—the largest first-place payout in women’s golf history.

The star-studded field includes all of the top 10 players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Who is the women’s golf number one?

Of course, world No. 1 and seven-time 2024 winner Nelly Korda is the headline name as she continues to dominate the field.

Korda joined Kathy Whitworth (1973), Nancy Lopez (1978, 1979), and Beth Daniel (1990) as the only Americans since 1970 to achieve seven or more wins in a single season after defeating Charley Hull to claim The ANNIKA title on Sunday.

The Florida native will go up against two-time CME Group Tour Championship winners Jin Young Ko and Lydia Ko. 2024 major champion Ayaka Furue also comes into the tournament with high expectations.

The event, as well as the elite established names, also welcomes four standout rookies: 2023 Epson Tour Player of the Year Gabriela Ruffels, Epson Tour alum Nataliya Guseva, South Korea’s Jin Hee Im, and Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year points leader Mao Saigo.
