The 53rd World Series of Poker gets underway today, May 31st, and the poker world is eagerly awaiting the richest, most prestigious and longest-running poker series.

For the first time, the WSOP moves to the Las Vegas Strip at Bally’s, the future Horseshoe, and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, after a 17-year run at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. This year’s event will feature Vince Vaughn, the WSOP’s inaugural Master of Ceremonies.

When does WSOP start in 2022?

The 2022 World Series of Poker returns to its usual summer time slot and runs from Tuesday, May 31 through Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

When is the 2022 WSOP Main Event?

The 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event takes place from July 3-16, 2022. There will be four starting flights in the Main Event on Day 1, with five 90-minute levels played with cards in the air starting 11 a.m. Late registration closes two levels into Day 2 (around 2p.m.)

Day 3 combines all starting fields for the first time on Saturday, July 9, where they will  continue to play down on Day 7 to a final table, Wed., July 13. The WSOP Main Event champion is crowned across two days - Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16, after which the traditional day off returns to the schedule.

What’s the prize pool at the 2022 WSOP?

This year’s tournament will feature a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool dubbed “The Housewarming”, featuring a $500 buy-in.
