AC Milan are in the Champions League semifinals for the first time since they last lifted the trophy, back in 2007.
Stefano Pioli’s men are looking to lift the club’s eighth European title after upsetting favorites Napoli in the quarterfinals, proving that a solid team with no big stars can also reach the final rounds of the competition.
In Serie A, I Rossoneri sit fifth in the table, two points behind fourth-placed Inter, so an interesting battle for a Champions League spot is expected in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, three-time European champions Inter are also making their first semifinal appearance since they last won the Champions League, in 2010.
Simone Inzaghi’s men were not expected to progress to the knockout stages after being drawn in the ‘group of death’ with Bayern and Barcelona, but managed to defeat and draw against the Catalan giants to stamp their ticket to the round of 16.
Very few believed they could defeat Porto and Benfica after that, but I Nerazzurri made it to the semifinals with a solid balance between their defensive and attacking lines.
