Last precedent between both in Madrid
The last time these two sides met was in February 2017, when Atlético Madrid were still based at the Vicente Calderón stadium. That semi-final first leg match ended 2-1 for Barcelona, a victory they earned thanks to goals from Luis Suárez and Lionel Messi. The Atlético goal was scored by Antoine Griezmann. Back then it was just one leg.
