Barcelona confirmed starting XI in LaLiga against Osasuna
Here’s how Hansi Flick will line his team up against the side from Pamplona.
Hansi Flick’s FC Barcelona, the undefeated leader of La Liga, will aim for another victory today at El Sadar against Osasuna (3:00 p.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. PT). A win would secure their place in club history by equaling the record for the best league start—eight consecutive victories, set by Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino’s Barça back in 2013.
However, the task won’t be easy: El Sadar is one of the most challenging venues in the league. “Osasuna are very strong at home, having earned 10 points there. The atmosphere is intense, and the fans offer great support. I like it,” Flick acknowledged in his pre-match press conference.
Who will play for Barcelona against Osasuna?
Barcelona have been winning most of their games in dominant fashion, averaging over three goals per match. In their last outing, however, they narrowly edged past Getafe, and for the first time this season, their attack lacked its usual sharpness and effectiveness. Changes are expected to Flick’s starting lineup, given an upcoming Champions League fixture against Young Boys on Tuesday.
Iñaki Peña will guard the goal, with Koundé in and Balde dropped for Gerard Martín. Sergi Domínguez will partner Cubarsí in central defence.
In midfield, Eric Garcia and Pedri will play as central midfielders and in the attacking positions Ferran and Pau Víctor will start. Lewandowski seems to be untouchable.
The game between Osasuna - Barcelona will be played on Saturday 28 October, with kick off at 3:00 p.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. PT. As well as following the AS USA live feed from our good friends at Opta, you can also watch a live stream of Osasuna vs Barcelona on FuboTV, which offers a free trial.
